JURASSIC PARK

In general, I must say that I like the book although it was a bit too short. I guess everybody knows the movie. It's quite similar to the book. But in my opinion only those will like the book who are interested in more details.

The story is a problem: it gets lost between supposedly exciting suspense and action and the attempt to explain the background to what happens. These elements are nicely developed, go quite well together, but the author doesn't manage to make it an adequate alternative to the movie.

The story itself is actually quite interesting: An old strange millionaire wants to make a fantastic vision come true - bring dinosaurs back to life. But specialists like evolutionists and theologists condemn the project because the think man can't and shouldn't interfere with evolution.

And in fact, some problems jeopardize the project, until it collapses into a catastrophe...

When you are interested in such things, it's a nice read. I did not regret it.
