The Luigi Malones is a very popular cocktail bar and restaurant among young people. It is located in Leopold Street near the Walking Man in Schwabing. Its original branches are in London and Dublin. The owner is a young man called Thomas. The Luigi Malones is pretty big and for that reason it is divided into two areas: one for drinking cocktails and one for eating. In summer one can also sit outside and enjoy the nice atmosphere which is even supported by the good service. About six to eight waiters serve you delicious burgers, pizzas and drinks. The three barkeepers can mix you all cocktails you can imagine, e. g. Swimming Pool, Banana Daiquiri,Sex On The Beach etc. Every monday guests profit from the happy hour by getting all the drinks for half the price.Then it is usually hard to get a seat.
 

The development of this branch in Munich was very hard at the beginning because of the        complicated German tax system. A lot of employees work on a 630 DM base and it often is
difficult to get new personnel. There are also some differences between the English working mentality and the German one: According to Thomas Germans work more precisely and usually they're always in time. Working with English people is more relaxed for him, especially for he can't speak German properly. That is also the reason why most of his friends come from the United Kingdom.
But Thomas prefers living in Munich and does not think about moving back to Great Britain because he feels accepted here and he likes the city.
